Day of Philanthropy 2009

On December 9, 2009, HALC will be offering pro bono professional services to Greek-Americans and other Orthodox Christians in need at:

St. Andrew’s Greek Orthodox Church
5649 N. Sheridan Rd.
Chicago, IL 60660

Doctors, dentists and lawyers will be on hand offering their services. 

Medical services will include: 

• Dental screenings
• Sport injury screenings
• Blood pressure screenings
• Foot exams
• Medication advice

Legal services will include:  

• Advice on property taxes
• Basic estate planning advice (such as for health care and property powers of attorney)
• Referrals for general legal inquiries. 

Someone will also be available to provide referrals for home care for elderly family members.
