Hellenic American Academy

Continuing the tradition of the Socrates School – the United States’ first full time Greek school – the Hellenic American Academy in Deerfield offers a full time bi-lingual school, two part time Greek schools (Socrates Saturday School and St. Kosmas Evening School), Greek dance, theater and music programs, and study abroad opportunities. The Hellenic American Academy is a major effort to perpetuate Hellenism and Orthodoxy through education, and stands as a unique opportunity to retain the Greek language, teach Greek history and culture, and give young Greek-Americans a common point of reference.
